“My kids are just starting their second year at Adventure Oak, and couldn’t be happier.
There’s a fine line between discipline and letting kids be kids, and that line is different for every parent. I feel like this school matches my personal preference for that line. They give room for both.
One of my children absolutely loves structure and learning of just about every kind. She loves all their classes, especially life skills, cooking, woodworking, jewelry making, crafts.
My other child is the opposite, and would rather go climb a tree than sit at a desk. He still gets his work done, but I hear more about his time in nature with friends, building forts and getting dirty. They both come home feeling satisfied and excited to go back the next day.
I’m so happy I found this school to accommodate both learning styles of my children, where they are able to learn and grow as themselves.”

“I am so grateful that my children have the opportunity to learn and grow in the loving environment of the Adventure Oak Learning Center. Wendi and Brian's view of the whole human being combined with their tireless work ethic has allowed my four children to develop their head, heart, and hands.
Each of my children have been seen for the individuals that they are and nurtured accordingly. By giving the students the freedom to pursue their interests and creating hands-on learning experiences, Adventure Oak captures the child's natural passion for learning.
As experienced educators coming from public charter schools, Wendi and Brian have set out to create a learning environment unshackled from the burdensome regulations of state bureaucracy. In this freedom, they are able to instead focus all their resources on the individual children before them.”

“As a parent of a first-grade daughter who has been attending Adventure Oak Learning Center for the past three years, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the enriching experience this school has provided. The Waldorf-inspired approach at Adventure Oak has truly nurtured my daughter's growth, both academically and socially.
One of the aspects I appreciate most is the frequent opportunities the children have to explore nature. The local greenbelt serves as an extended classroom where kids can safely and freely discover the wonders of the natural world under careful supervision. This hands-on interaction with nature has not only sparked my daughter's curiosity but also fostered a deep respect for the environment.
The school's commitment to the arts is equally commendable. With access to diverse art activities and a robust music program, students are encouraged to express themselves creatively. The annual end-of-year talent show is a highlight for our family. Watching the children confidently showcase their singing, dancing, acting, and other performances is truly inspiring. It is evident that the program cultivates authentic self-expression and confidence in each student.
Adventure Oak's staff, led by owners Wendi and Brian, consistently demonstrates dedication and professionalism. Their availability to address questions and assist with coordinating events has made me feel supported and connected. The sense of community at the school is strong; I've developed friendships with other parents and families, which has enriched our overall experience.
The open-door policy at Adventure Oak is another aspect that sets it apart. Parents are invited to observe activities and participate in the school community, fostering transparency and trust. The inclusive atmosphere makes events like the end-of-year celebration particularly enjoyable and memorable.
As a family that homeschools for religious reasons, we were seeking a supplemental environment that would support our daughter's social development. Adventure Oak Learning Center has exceeded our expectations in this regard. It has become a place where our daughter feels safe, valued, and excited to learn and interact with others.
I am a very happy and proud parent to have found Adventure Oak. The school's holistic approach to education and its nurturing community have made a significant positive impact on our family's life. I wholeheartedly recommend Adventure Oak Learning Center to any parent seeking a supportive and enriching educational environment for their child.”

"Adventure Oak has provided a truly lovely place for my children to learn and grow throughout our homeschool journey. My children have been attending Adventure Oak for almost three years now. They currently range from seventh grade down to second grade, and we cannot imagine our weeks without the fulness that it offers them. The community is warm, the teachers are devoted, and the opportunities abound. From the foundational main lessons offered in the mornings, to the extra curriculars in the afternoons including (but not limited to): handwork, ukelele, wood working, voice lessons, games and outdoor play, my children come home fulfilled, content, and energized. We are so grateful for this wonderful school, incredible teachers and beautiful community!”
