Because children grow up, we think a child's purpose is to grow up. But a child's purpose is to be a child.

Director/Owner/TK-K-1st-2nd Grade Teacher, Wendi Heise
I am a Credentialed Teacher with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I 've spent years studying and working in a Waldorf Inspired Public Charter school setting and have my one year Foundations Certificate from Building Bridges, Antioch. I have spent many summers in Art of Teaching programs, including: Preschool, First and Second grades and am a mother of a 16 year old homeschool student. I've spent my life working with children of all ages. I love the outdoors, paddle boarding and collecting baseballs! I will provide rhythm, beauty and foster a love of learning.

3rd, 4th and 5th Grades Teacher/Upper Grades Mentor, Brian Heise
I'm a natural teacher. My philosophy is centered in having balance as a student and a person. I truly love to teach, and I feel very lucky to have worked with all of the students and athletes in my schools/teams over the years.
I am a Waldorf certified teacher with over eight years teaching experience at a Waldorf inspired charter school and over 25 years experience as a swimming coach. I have a B.A. in Social Science. I'm a father of two grown children (both were k-8 Waldorf students). I have a love of nature, family, nutrition, yoga and Crossfit, but my inquisitive nature leads me in many directions.
My curriculum is traditional: getting to know your student and learning with them. Ultimately, it's about learning how to learn and helping students find themselves and their purpose--nothing matters more than knowing who you are.

6th-8th Grade Teacher/Guide, Carrie Stalker
I'm a dedicated educator and nature enthusiast. With a background as a barn manager and a four-year journey as a horseback riding instructor, I've cultivated a strong passion for teaching and fostering meaningful connections with my students. My teaching style is a blend of genuine care and a touch of humor, creating an environment where learning becomes engaging and enjoyable. My journey into education took a unique turn as I embarked on the rewarding path of homeschooling my fifth and eighth-grade children. This endeavor has allowed me to tailor their education to their individual needs and interests, ensuring a well-rounded and personalized learning experience. When I'm not immersed in the world of education, you'll find me exploring the great outdoors. I have an insatiable love for nature and often find solace and inspiration by fishing, paddleboarding, and gardening. Spending quality time with my family is of utmost importance to me, and these outdoor activities provide the perfect backdrop for creating cherished memories together. Through my experiences as an educator, a nature enthusiast, and a devoted family person, I strive to instill the values of curiosity, exploration, and a deep appreciation for the world around us. Join me on this journey of learning and growth, where we embrace both the classroom and the natural world as our greatest teachers.
